Project Coordinator
The ideal Project Coordinator has 1-3 years of experience in working closely with project team members, managers and leads to help deliver major organizational projects efficiently. The Project Coordinator manages the administrative tasks, such as schedule coordination, document and information distribution, report collation, and communication support. The Project Coordinator should have excellent communication skills, the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships, and experience meeting hard deadlines.
The Project Coordinator assists the project team in planning, initiating, executing, and closing out mission-oriented business programs and projects.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting Project Managers & Assistant Project Managers with setting up the front end of projects and organizing/documenting continuously flowing information from emails and meetings. Other duties include:
- Coordinate and schedule project meetings
- Create meeting agendas and send them out to the stakeholders
- Recording notes during project meetings
- Review project requirements, help coordinate changes
- Serve as a liaison between the Project Manager and the internal and external stakeholders involved regarding project status and issues (i.e., deliverable dates, discrepancies, delays, etc.)
- Log all pertaining information into the project dashboards
- Write emails with clear, courteous and well thought out information
- Perform special projects and complete all other duties as assigned or requested.
- Sharing relevant documentation and reports with project teams
- Providing information and regular support to stakeholders
- Being point of contact for various working groups
- Understanding formal escalation and review processes
- Creating and reviewing of reports
- Knowledge of industry best practice
Key Skillsets Required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as with customers
- Detail oriented with the ability to efficiently analyze and organize significant amounts of information regarding project deliverables and administrative work
- Ability to juggle and prioritize a wide range of tasks throughout the day with attention to detail
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and complete comfort with technology
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field highly desired
- 1 – 3 years of IT Project Support Experience
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- CompTIA Project+, Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, or other Project Management certification preferred
