Reflections on AWS re:Invent: A spotlight on security and partner innovation

Collaboration and innovation were at the forefront of our experience at AWS re:Invent 2024. For InfusionPoints, it was a chance to reaffirm our commitment to AWS as our cloud service provider of choice and demonstrate how being fully AWS-native lets us deliver more agile and more secure solutions to our customers. We don’t just use AWS; we’re all in on AWS, and that dedication sets us apart.

AWS re:Invent was a powerful reminder of AWS’s commitment to partnerships. With exciting announcements tailored to support partners, it’s clear that AWS is as invested in empowering its partners as we are in empowering our clients.

As we start the new year strong, we want to reflect on pivotal moments from AWS re:Invent and how they position us to innovate for our customers in 2025.

AWS recognizes InfusionPoints for security expertise

We were honored to be recognized in the re:Invent Partner Keynote by Dr. Ruba Borno, vice president of global specialists and partners at AWS, as one of 13 launch partners for the new AWS Security Incident Response Specialization. This recognition highlights not only our capabilities in identifying, prioritizing, and resolving security incidents but also reinforces our position as leaders in AWS-powered security. This achievement affirms the trust our clients place in us to safeguard their most critical environments with speed and precision.

New features enhance AWS Partners’ growth

A 2023 Canalys study found that nearly half (44%) of customers rely on multiple partners to meet their business needs. To help partners discover and build strategic alliances, AWS launched the new Partner Connections feature at re:Invent. This AI-powered search tool integrates into the AWS Partner Central interface and makes it simple to find and engage with other AWS Partners to co-sell joint solutions, accelerate deal cycles, and create more value for customers. Partner Connections makes it easier to collaborate with partners that have a common mission so we can enhance our service offerings to highly regulated customers.

Another standout announcement was the Buy with AWS feature. This creates a streamlined checkout system for third-party software, similar to the “Buy Now” button on Amazon.com. Essentially, we’ll now be able to host a mini-AWS Marketplace on our website, so customers can purchase directly from us rather than having to navigate through multiple pages on the AWS Marketplace. This launch offers another example of how AWS prioritizes partner growth and customer convenience—values we share deeply at InfusionPoints.

Continued commitment to public sector innovation

In addition to showcasing its support for partners, AWS also demonstrated its continued commitment to the public sector. Dave Levy, AWS vice president of worldwide public sector, captured the spirit of this commitment during his keynote address: “As public sector customers and partners, you are the great thinkers and builders of this era. You take smart risks, you persevere through difficulty, and actively create solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. We’re honored to be your partner and support you every step of the way.” This resonated with our team as a powerful reminder of why we do what we do and the good it creates in the world.

InfusionPoints has long been honored to participate in the Global Security and Compliance Acceleration on AWS (GSCA) program, led by Tim Sandage, senior manager of security partners. The program is a catalyst within AWS that helps put customers, partners, and AWS support together to create solutions for the government. GSCA has been pivotal to our growth and we are grateful for Tim’s leadership to help our business grow so we can support more highly regulated customers.
