Dell partnered with InfusionPoints to develop operations and security controls necessary to achieve a Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program certification for a cloud offering. Dell received the provisional authorization-to-operate from FedRAMP’s joint authorization board for the Dell Cloud for U.S. Government platform following an audit conducted by J.D. Biggs and Associates as an independent third-party assessment organization, Dell said Friday.

George Newstrom “This is an exciting time for us – not only because we met the comprehensive requirements and standards of FedRAMP – but we are now even more confident in serving our federal customers and their move to cloud adoption,” said George Newstrom, president and general manager of Dell Services Federal Government.

DCG is an infrastructure-as-a-service cloud platform designed for federal, state, local and tribal government agencies as well as government contractors, federally funded research and development centers and higher education institutions, according to a description posted on FedRAMP’s website.
