The People Behind the Progress: 10 years of Defending

10 years of Defending

Technology has changed dramatically over the last decade, but one thing hasn't.

People still make the difference.

As we reflected on this milestone, one theme continued to surface among those who have helped shape InfusionPoints over the last ten years. While the tools, threats, and technologies have evolved, our approach has remained remarkably consistent: solve the problem in front of us, learn from every experience, and continuously improve.

Few people have witnessed that evolution more closely than Jereme Powers, who joined InfusionPoints in 2016 and has grown alongside the company. From Security Operations to helping lead our SOC, and now serving as a Senior SIEM Engineer.

Reflecting on the last decade, Jereme shared:

"One of the biggest changes I've seen is how much more operational cybersecurity has become. Monitoring, SIEM, automation, cloud security, compliance, and incident response are no longer separate conversations. Customers need all of those pieces working together, and they need to be able to demonstrate that they are working."

That perspective captures exactly how our industry has evolved.

Security is no longer about deploying individual technologies or checking compliance boxes. It's about operating an integrated security program every day, continuously validating that controls are working, and providing customers with confidence that their mission is protected.

Jereme also reminded us of something that technology can never replace:

"Tools can collect logs, generate alerts, automate tasks, and help analysts find things faster, but there is still a person who has to understand what the data means, determine what actually matters, and decide what happens next."

As we continue embracing AI and automation, that philosophy remains central to who we are. Technology should empower people, not replace them. Experience, judgment, and accountability will always be at the heart of effective cybersecurity.

As I look back over the last ten years, I'm incredibly proud of what we've built, but even more proud of how we've built it.

We've never measured success simply by the services we offer or the technologies we deploy. We've measured it by the trust we've earned, the relationships we've built, and the incredible people who have chosen to grow alongside this company.

The challenges have changed. The threats have changed. The industry has changed.

Our commitment hasn't.

For ten years we've continued to ask difficult questions, embrace new technologies, invest in our people, and solve real problems for our customers. Every challenge has made us stronger, every customer has taught us something new, and every milestone has prepared us for the next.

That's what this anniversary represents.

Not simply ten years in business, but ten years of continuous learning, continuous innovation, and continuously earning the trust our customers place in us every single day.

As Jereme reflected on his own journey, he said something that resonates with all of us:

"The InfusionPoints I joined ten years ago is very different from the company we are today, but I recognize the same approach: solve the problem in front of us, learn from it, improve what we do, and use what we learned to make the next solution better."

I couldn't describe our first decade any better than that, and I believe it's exactly how we'll approach the next one.

Continuous Trust
